Just Act Natural

Just Act Natural is a mini-game multiplayer game that allows users to connect with their friends online and play a hide-and-seek type of game. There are multiple different minigames, but each has one goal; Get as many points as possible.

Throughout the game there are different minigames, and each minigame is in a different location and a different time of the day, giving a large range of art styles and elements. For example there is a minigame that takes place in a desert, so the ground and surrounding areas are a classic tan sand color. That map also features a yellow/orange colored sky. In another minigame, shown in the photo, it is a very dark map, but there are brighter colors that pop out, such as the beautiful blue used for the crystals sticking out of the ground. A few other maps are shown outside, such as one being outside in a field with trees around, or one that looks like a small city, even including road markings.

The color palette of the game is very broad, with colors that are very natural and common in today’s world. The roads for corresponding maps are a very dark color, with trees and plants being naturally colored too. Character design in the game is simple, but it does offer a decent sized range of combinations to customize the character. There are even little elements in the game, such as hats or trees, that do have a lot of detail. The character look itself does not look realistic, such as no definition of fingers or even a nose. There are no hands or feet, and the characters have a round head, with very large eyes, and a tiny mouth.
