Can't Torch This!

Minecraft has been out for years at this point in time, but the game still has a tight hold on those who enjoy it. The game is a survival game where the goal is to defeat the ender dragon, however, there are many different features in the game and many play the game to just build and create something they like. There are also resource and texture packs to change the appearance of the world around the character, but for educational purposes, vanilla Minecraft is the way to go.

To start off, the game’s character design aspect is really neat, as there are many skins on the marketplace that can be bought, but there are also skins that you can change the eye color of, the clothes, shoes, and other aspects. A player can upload their own skin they made or downloaded from an outside source, but they are accepted. This helps give the game creative freedom just based on that aspect.

The game has a unique design, such as the world does not have curves, it is blocks. The player can see that each block has individual pixels for the design, which gives almost an unprofessional feel to it, but it is also the key element of this game. Each block does not have a specific color, but rather a color set, such as multiple shades of brown and green for a simple grass block, or even just shades of brown for a tree log. The colors are ever expanding as the game’s colors are very natural and realistic, such as the colors on animals like pigs and cows, to even crazy colors such as dying a sheep red to gain red wool. The world gives a lot of customizable options, such as being able to dye the color of a carpet, or even dying leather armor. The game also includes graphic elements, such as the sun rising and setting as well as clouds, rain, and even snow falling. The game brings an essence of real life to the virtual world and gives the player the feel of each biome in the game.
